After an unexpected day of two washed out fixtures, Florida will be hoping to witness a blockbuster second day as three crucial battles line up. The opening fixture of the day would witness Texas Chargers go head on against the California Knights which would be followed by a crucial skirmish between New York Warriors and Atlanta Riders. The final battle of the day would see Morrisville Unity take on the New Jersey Triton’s.
The Chargers would be hoping to get off to a victorious start after their opening fixture was disrupted by the rain gods. The presence of experienced campaigners like Mohammad Hafeez, Sohail Tanveer, Ben Dunk and Fidel Edwards will be adding fuel to the fire of the Chargers as they hope to see off a stern challenge from the Knights led by the likes of Aaron Finch and Suresh Raina. They will also have the experienced shoulders of Jacques Kallis and Irfan Pathan to do their heavy lifting as they return for game two of the fray.
Shahid Afridi-led New York Warriors will be hoping to find the right balance as they face off against the Riders in the second game of Day Two. The Warriors were off to a great start, thanks to an explosive showdown from Richard Levi and Dhammika Prasad. However, they will be hoping their other stars will join the show too. The Riders will be hoping to find some decent momentum as they hope to raze imperiously, embarking upon the shoulders of Robin Uthappa, Lendl Simmons and Dwayne Smith who can give sleepless nights to bowlers for days.
Morrisville Unity would be desperate to shake off the defeat in their first game despite a late flurry from Obus Pienaar and Shehan Jayasuriya. As they take the yard against the Triton’s led by Gautam Gambhir and Albie Morkel to follow suit. The hard-hitting likes of Yusuf Pathan can also be a game-changer for the New Jersey outfit which will demand that Morrisville Unity approach the game with extra caution.
