The penultimate day of the US Masters T10 started with an absolute blockbuster where the New York Warriors met California Knights in the first Qualifier of the day. Batting first the Knights could only pile up 96/4, riding on a blitzkrieg from Aaron Finch who smashed 42 from 22 balls. Umaid Asif was the pick of the bowling lot for the Warriors as he claimed 2/18 from his quota of two overs.

Chasing 97, the Warriors came a cropper early in the innings as they lost both their openers, Kamran Akmal and Tillakaratne Dilshan for cheap. However, Richard Levi and Misbah ul Haq weathered the early storm and sent the Knights packing with the South African hard-hitter coming up roses with an unbeaten 47 from 24 balls.

In the Eliminator and the second game of the day, Morrisville Unity locked horns with the Texas Chargers. Batting first, Unity totted up 115/5 that saw Obus Pienaar hammering away 51 from just 25 balls. Corey Anderson and Shehan Jayasuriya did play instrumental cameos to keep their team in the hunt. Thisara Perera proved to be the star act of Texas Chargers with figures of 4/17.

Mukhtar Ahmed and Mohammad Hafeez went overboard with their incessant gung-ho as they blasted a 104-runs partnership for the opening wicket while Ben Dunk provided the finishing touch, setting up a qualifier date with the California Knights.

It was a contest of epic proportions that eventually sealed the fate of the second finalist of the tournament which saw the Texas Chargers and the California Knights going head to head. Batting first the Knights piled up 139 as Jacques Kallis smashed 56 from 22 while Milind Kumar blitzed a 19-ball-41. The Professor shined with the ball to claim two crucial wickets.

Despite a mammoth total on the board, there was no stopping the Professor on the day, as he emerged as the messiah of the Chargers once again, clobbering a 24-ball-68 to which Mukhtar Ahmed played the perfect two-to-tango with a rollicking 40 that helped the Chargers home with seven balls and seven wickets to spare.
