The Abu Dhabi T10 Season 6 is heading towards its conclusion and so far, it has delivered some enthralling cricketing action. The playoffs are scheduled for December 3, followed by the final on December 4.

The tournament’s newcomers New York Strikers and Morrisville Samp Army reached the playoffs in their first outing, alongside Deccan Gladiators and Team Abu Dhabi.

According to popular perception, the long duration of traditional formats like Tests and ODIs has been the biggest obstacle towards cricket’s full-time inclusion in events like the Commonwealth Games and Olympics. However, with T10 cricket, all it takes for a match to be completed is 90 minutes, the same as a football match.

Some fans think that the format could pave the way for cricket to feature in these prestigious multi-sport competitions.

The ADT10 2022, over the past couple of weeks, has hosted some of the biggest cricketing stars in the globe, who turned up the temperatures in Abu Dhabi with their power-hitting.

Deccan Gladiators skipper Nicholas Pooran has scored 253 runs at a strike rate of 236.45 and is one of the top contenders for the Player of the Tournament award.

Pakistani batter Iftikhar Ahmed played a key role in his side’s ICC T20 World Cup 2022 dream run, which unfortunately finished with a defeat to England in the final. Ahmed continued with his blitzkrieg in the Abu Dhabi T10 Season 6.

The Bangla Tigers’ batter smashed 83 off 30 balls against Delhi Bulls, registering the second highest individual score of the season. He followed it up with another quickfire fifty against the Gladiators and finished the tournament with 191 runs at a strike rate of 244.87.

On Saturday, Morrisville Samp Army will lock horns against New York Strikers in Qualifier 1, followed by the Eliminator between Team Abu Dhabi and Deccan Gladiators.
