The Abu Dhabi T10 Season 6 gets underway on Wednesday and Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting sees it as a great opportunity to play against some quality opponents.

“The biggest thing about the Abu Dhabi T10 is that on any day any team can win,” the Australian power-hitter said during a media interaction.

“ADT10 is full of overseas players. The local cricketers are also very strong so there’s no weak team and standard of play reflects in the results.”

ADT10, the premiere T10 cricket in the world, boasts a strong presence of international stars with Suresh Raina (India), Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh), Mohammad Amir (Pakistan), Bhanuka Rajapaksa (Sri Lanka), Andre Russell (West Indies), David Miller (South Africa), Eoin Morgan (England) and many more featuring in the upcoming 2022 edition.

Delhi Bulls, Team Abu Dhabi, Northern Warriors, Bangla Tigers, Deccan Gladiators, Chennai Braves, Morrisville Samp Army and New York Strikers are the eight teams taking part in the sixth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10. Morrisville Samp Army and New York Strikers are the two teams making their tournament debuts this year.

Ben Cutting has been roped in by Bangla Tigers, which will be led by Shakib Al Hasan in the sixth season.

Speaking about the challenges and his role for the new franchise, Ben Cutting said he would prefer to play at the top of the order and chip in with some cheap overs with the ball if required.

“I have liked opening the batting in the past couple of years and I feel my role in the Abu Dhabi T10 would be to hit it as far as possible,” said Ben Cutting, who helped Sunrisers Hyderabad lift the 2016 IPL title with an impactful 39 runs off 15 balls in the final after coming down the order. However, he has been opening in the batting in Australia’s Big Bash League in recent times.

In the ADT10 Season 6, all teams will face each other once in a round-robin format followed by the playoffs. The final is on December 4. A total of 33 matches will be played during the course of the tournament.

Bangla Tigers will open their campaign against the New York Strikers in the first match of the Abu Dhabi T10 League on Wednesday.
