Tom Moores powers Bangla Tigers to easy victory | Full scoreboard

Pune Devils’ total of 115/3 never really challenged the Bangla Tigers, who cruised to the target with seven balls remaining, courtesy of a Tom Moores onslaught.

After a very disciplined bowling attack by the Pune Devils got them two crucial wickets, English youngster Tom Moores and UAE international Chirag Suri took the onus of getting their team past the total.

Tom Moores came out swinging and smacked four sixes and a four on his way to an unbeaten 38 in only 12 deliveries. Chirag Suri, on the other end, provided great support and ended the game with a six in the ninth over.

After being asked to bat first, the Devils had got off to a promising start reaching 36/0 in three overs, with Tom Kohler-Cadmore leading the attack, again.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore blazed with three maximums and four boundaries en route 48, missing his third straight half-century by a whisker.

There was a slight slump after Tom Kohler-Cadmore’s wicket but another Englishman Alex Davies’ valuable contribution got the Pune Devils to 115/3 at the end, which was chased by the Bangla Tigers with eight wickets in hand.

Brief scoresPune Devils 115/3 (Tom Kohler-Cadmore 48, Fazal Farooqui 1/16) lost to Bangla Tigers 119/2 in 8.5 overs (Tom Moores 38, Mohammad Amir 1/14) by 8 wickets.

Openers take Warriors through despite late drama | Full scoreboard

Team Abu Dhabi got off to a disastrous start with Paul Sterling being skittled by a searing Wahab Riaz yorker on the first ball of the innings. However, the early jolt did not faze Luke Wright, who went about pounding the Team Abu Dhabi bowlers.

The Northern Warriors put the pressure back on the home team by dismissing Luke Wright and Chris Gayle in a space of four deliveries and the next 23 balls produced only 29 runs for the home team.

However, the English duo of Joe Clarke and Ben Duckett picked up pace in the eighth over to post a commanding 123/3 on the scoreboard at the end of 60 balls.

In the chase, the Northern Warriors were cruising comfortably as both openers, Lendl Simmons and Waseem Muhammad, guided the team to 93/0 in eight overs, with the latter registering an aggressive half-century.

There was drama in the last over following the dismissal of Waseem Muhammad (76 off 34) and Nicholas Pooran (0) by Jamie Overton in successive deliveries. With two required off the last ball, a misfield ended the match for Team Abu Dhabi as the Northen Warriors clinched an eight-wicket victory.

Brief scores: Team Abu Dhabi 123/3 (Joe Clarke 50*, Junaid Siddique 1/23) lost to Northern Warriors (Mohammad Waseem 76, Jamie Overton 2/25) by 8 wickets.

Ali Khan disciplines Deccan Gladiators with bowling masterclass  | Full scoreboard

The Delhi Bulls outmatched the Deccan Gladiators on both sides of the break to clinch an easy eight-wicket win.

The Bulls’ pace battery, especially Ali Khan, who gave just four runs in two overs and scalped twice, dominated the Deccan Gladiators with regular breakthroughs that derailed their batting line-up.

Gladiators’ captain Kieron Pollard came to the rescue with a determined knock, scoring a quick 47 from 18 balls. But Ali Khan’s admirable death bowling meant the Pollard’s team could only total 118/7 in 10 overs.

The Delhi Bulls’ openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Evin Lewis had a lightning start to their pursuit and plundered 20 runs in each of the first three overs, keeping the scorers busy with a 92-run opening stand.

Afghan wicketkeeper Gurbaz cracked 47 off 20 as the left-right combination brought down the required run-rate well below six per over. Sherfane Rutherford ended the chase with a boundary to beat the Gladiators by eight wickets in 8.1 overs.

Brief scores: Deccan Gladiators 118/7 (Kieron Pollard 47, Ali Khan 2/4) lost to Delhi Bulls 122/2 in 8.1 overs (Rahmanullah Gurbaz 47, Imran Tahir 2/30) by 8 wickets.
