Eoin Joseph Gerard Morgan has represented both Ireland and England at the international level. Morgan has earned respect as an inventive and free-stroking middle-order batsman, especially in the shorter formats. Morgan made 99 in his ODI debut for Ireland against Scotland in August 2006. He is the only player in the history of cricket to have been dismissed for 99 on debut. ‘Moggie’, as he is nicknamed, then made his maiden ODI century against Canada on 4th February 2007 and became the youngest non-subcontinental player to score a century in ODIs
Eoin Morgan ascended to the England one-day captaincy in slightly chaotic circumstances less than two months out from the 2015 World Cup and was less than enamoured with an entirely inadequate campaign.
