Sharjah: Dwayne Bravo, who took 10 wickets in the T10 League, said he enjoyed the challenge of bowling in the batsman friendly format.

“It’s a game that can test a bowler’s skills. For me what worked is that I challenged myself against the best in the world and I use these moments to test my skills and my confidence,” said the Maratha Arabians captain.

“It’s clearly a batsmen friendly format. It’s a very good wicket, smallish ground. So batsmen have that freedom where bowlers now have to really be switched on. The margin for error is very slim,” he added.

“So as a bowler you have to really challenge yourself and back your ability. That’s what worked for me. It’s not easy for bowlers. Like I said, it’s a batsmen friendly tournament, but at the same time, you see bowlers doing well and having success in different games which is good.”

The West Indies all-rounder was happy with Maratha Arabians run to the playoffs in the second season of the league.

“We got to the playoffs which was a positive sign. Of course, you want to get to the finals in every tournament, but in some nights in a tournament like this where all the teams are good with world-class players, you can’t expect to win every game. So I am happy with getting to the playoffs,” he said.
